The Alabaster Jar Foundation is a subsidiary of Christ Believers Healing Ministry, the parent organisation ofChrist Believers Assembly. The foundation reaches out to the community at large through projects designed to drive positive change in the lives of people. Its primary purpose is to cater for the less-privileged and the medically challenged.
Established in 2009, the foundation is the brain-child of Rev. Peace Goodey. Its name is derived from biblical references to the alabaster jar as a tightly sealed container opened only when one is ready to spread the fragrance it holds within. Hence the theme of The Alabaster Jar Foundation: Spreading the Fragrance of His Love.
According to JOHN 12:3 NIV, when Mary broke open her alabaster box, "...the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume."
A member of the Child Protection Network of Nigeria, the foundation operates a home for teenage mums, in addition to hosting medical outreach programmes offering health checkups and providing free drugs. The home is run with the help of volunteers and spirit-filled staff. By the grace of God, we are blessed with many success stories.
Christ Believers Healing Ministry funds The Alabaster Jar Foundation, but welcomes donations from individuals, organisations or groups that believe they can give back to the society by helping with resources like money, office equipment, sewing machines, computers, food items (perishable and non-perishable), beddings etc.
The Alabaster Jar Foundation depends on the volunteerism and generosity of the communities that it serves. We welcome individual donations as well as company sponsorships. [MORE...]
